The datasets created using SPRLIB functions are stored in a simple ASCII format.
This section describes the syntax used for storage. Using this
format, one can
easily make his/her own interface routines to other programs. Keywords are
denoted in typewriter style and written in capitals. The
italic parts are dataset dependent. For the current dataformat version the
reader is referred to the file sys/patio.c.
