MS-DOS and Turbo C(++)

The library is compiled with Turbo C++, using the standard C source code mode. A number of functions is not available in this first PC implementation. Most of these functions are not present due to the difference between the operating systems. This version does not contain the routines listed in paragraph on solving back propagation by a stiff differential equation solver, found in ANNLIB. Furthermore, no floating point exceptions are handled except as the default setting of the compiler and some specific Sun tools and the Kohonen draw functions (koh_weight_draw) are not available.
Loading and saving of compressed networks and datafiles is not implemented yet. Some functions are only limited available, as flexible as the memory allows. Runtime messages inform the user in these cases. Typical system services not implemented are the warning of high system load, the priority scheduler and the system_time() used.
No makefile is listed, the library should be compiled with the LARGE memory model selected. The library functions require the global defines SPRLIB and TCDOS to be set when compiling the source code.
