This program is a text-mode viewer for the Interrupt List created and distributed among the all programmers over the world by Ralph Brown. This viewer is compatible with the version 56 of interrupt list and possibly with the newer versions. Why is it? Viewer presents as suitable features as search through topics titles, letter-by-letter search for needed interrupt/function. It shows all of more than 8000 topics of the current INTERRUPT LIST, and supports up to 15'000 topics and topic length up to 1'400 lines. How does it works? Program must be started from the catalog that contains the INTERRUP.LST file. This file can be made by the utility COMBINE.COM, distributed with the Interrupt List. At the first start viewer creates index-file for the fast view possibilities in the catalog with the INTERRUPT.LST (or optionally in other catalog - see Command line section). After this viewer goes directly to the list of topics - it's topic view mode. You can read desireable topic by pressing Enter on it - in this case viewer will go to the topic body view mode. Keys In topic list view mode: to move: - arrows up/down, page up/page down, home/end. Also you can type in the interrupt and the AX register letter by letter. to search for a string: - F7 to continue search: - Shift-F7, Alt-F7, Ctrl-F7 to exit viewer: - Alt-X, Esc to enter the topic body view mode: - Enter In topic body view mode: to write the topic in a file: - W, F2 to exit this mode: - Enter, Esc to exit viewer: - Alt-X Command line The only command line parameter can be full name of a index file (in case you don't want to have it in the catalog with the INTERRUP.LST - for example, if it's a CD-ROM catalog). Requirements This is 32-bit protected mode program, and for normal work it must be run on a computers with 386+ processor with minimum of 4 Mb RAM. Operation system - MS-DOS, OS/2, Win95.
