SPRANNLIB is currently available on several computer platforms. The supported machines are Sun Sparc workstations (amongst others: 1+, IPX, ELC, 10, 20, UltraSparc) running either SunOS or Solaris, Silicon Graphics workstations (Irix 5.x, 6.x) and IBM PC compatible machines with Turbo C++ under MS-DOS, DJGPP (a GNU C port) under MS-DOS, commercial compilers on Windows 95/NT or GNU C under Linux. In this file the machine dependent information is listed for each platform. The library can be maintained on a file system the is used by different types of target machines. The environment variable $ARCH is expected to be set indicating the proper architecture.
